My First Dating Site Review - CougarDateLink

 I like going to bars now and again, but the truth is if there is an easier way to meet younger men then I will leap on it and online dating seems to be the way forward. I am told 'everyone is doing it'.  There are a variety of dating sites to choose from and I think that you will find some cougars and younger men looking for older women on most dating sites, however to make my cougar dating experience even easier I decided to start off by signing up for a dating site that specializes in cougar and cub relationships. So today I will be reviewing (and am proud to say I am now a member of) a popular cougar online dating site called CougarDateLink.

The sign up process at CougarDateLink was very easy (even for me!). It was just a matter of going to the website and entering a few details, such as my name and email address. I then added some more information about myself. This information should help me find younger men (cubs) looking for the same kind of relationship as I am. It will also help me to find someone I have things in common with and that I am likely to have chemistry with. Please fill in your profile as completely as possible. Whenever I saw a profile not filled in or without a pic I just went on to the next one. The website is very secure and they reguarly update their virus prevention software.It is a very safe site and I feel my information is well protected.

I decided to add a profile photo, which was easy to upload from my computer. Once I had added my details including whether I smoke or drink (no and sometimes), have any pets (a dog and a cat), what I look like (5ft, blonde, slim with curves, brown eyes) and my hobbies (fine dining, travelling to exotic locations, funny movies, dancing) I was able to log into my email and confirm my free membership. I just needed to click the link in the email. That way CougarDateLink ensures that I actually wanted to join.
I was quite impressed that there were thousands of cougars and cubs waiting to hook up on the site and once I started browsing I was surprised how many people are online from my local area.
It is quite addictive browsing through the profiles of various young men and reading profiles. If you like someone, you can send a message and see whether they respond (no where near as scary as approaching people in the real world). You can chat online and get to know someone before you meet. I was surprised by how many messages I have already received from interested people. So much easier and less embarrassing for them and me than trying to get numbers in a bar.
If you are worried about safety then it is easy to get to know someone very well before meeting, which you may wish to do. You should also (with all dates) let someone know where you are going and when you will be back. That is just common sense and I already have my best friend Leslie recruited to be my wing lady.
Once I checked out all the free membership had to offer I decided to upgrade, as then I was able to use the full search features and find many more connections. I also find people take you more seriously as a paid member. I can only speak for myself, but so far I have only considered requests/flirts from paid members, simply because it makes it obvious these men are serious about dating a cougar woman and not just there for a laugh. I am too old to be stood up! Mind you, perhaps not all members feel like this and you  can certainly use the site for free to start with to see whether it is for you.
All in all I was really pleased with this site. I was amazed how many people were in my area and I loved the live chat feature. When I had a question that was not in the FAQs I contacted support and they were incredibly friendly and helpful. I give CougarDateLink top marks! Stay tuned for info on my first cougar, cub date!
